Flea Pest Control, Bed Bug Treatments and Ticks

All three of these insects can pose serious, even fatal, threats to your health, and that of your pets. It’s important to know what to look out for within your home, business, or building exteriors and beyond to protect yourselves and your beloved pets from harm.

Fleas are minuscule and prefer to manifest in large groups. There are thousands of species of fleas globally, and bird, dog and cat fleas are all different. They are able to jump long distances, but cannot fly. You will just be able to detect fleas on your pets with eyesight alone, but are more likely to notice the bites or welts they leave. They are excellent at hiding.

Just one bite from a tick could mean paralysis or death for your beloved pets. Ticks are predominantly found outside, so it is important to be vigilant and maintain a safe distance from bushy areas. Professional treatment is essential. If you notice a tick roaming in your home, it could be an indication of a bigger infestation, and you should seek professional assistance immediately.

Bed bugs thrive in soft furnishings and make their way into your home by hitchhiking on luggage, clothing, bedding and furniture. They can develop from nymphs to full maturity in as little as a month and shed their skin five times in the process. They are predominantly active at night and, despite common misconceptions, are just as likely to be found in immaculate conditions as in dirty ones. Their bite may be irritating, but unlike ticks and fleas, are harmless.

FLEAS: We only use superior, environmentally friendly flea rinses. These are becoming increasingly common as a condition of ending a rental property lease, regardless of whether you resided with pets or not.

TICKS: While we can’t stop your pet picking up a tick from elsewhere, we can spray the house and create a barrier which, if regularly sprayed, can reduce the likelihood of ticks in your yard.

BED BUGS: We use an effective chemical treatment to kill bed bugs. A follow up treatment may be needed to ensure bed bugs are killed throughout all stages of the lifecycle.
